What makes us most proud of our business is that we are creating something culturally meaningful, economically empowering, and beautifully made—all at once. We are not just selling furniture; we are telling stories, elevating traditions, and building a company that reflects the diversity and richness of global design, especially the African Diaspora.

Every seat tells a story. At Kiti Mezani World Designs, that story begins with our name: Kiti Mezani means “a seat at the table” in Swahili. It captures our mission to create space—literally and symbolically—for people, cultures, and perspectives often excluded from the mainstream furniture design conversation.

One of our proudest accomplishments is becoming 50% owners of a furniture manufacturing company and 20,000 sq. ft. facility in High Point, NC, the heart of American furniture making, with plans for expansion. This ownership gives us more than control over quality—it gives us the power to reshape what representation in design and manufacturing looks like.

We design seating that speaks—curating color, texture, and silhouette with deep cultural intentionality. From richly woven textiles to bold patterns and layered tones, every detail is meant to evoke heritage, modernity, and individuality. Each piece invites customers to choose more than just a place to sit—it offers them a chance to express who they are.

At Kiti Mezani, every piece we make is an invitation: take your seat, bring your story, and make space for something greater. Welcome Home!
